Possible proof that violent video games doesn't cause violence?

Reasuring indeed. Okay, nanny ststists are going to go ape about "protecting people from themselves" (flood gate alert!) but I just love having actual evidence instead of the usual "you're a moron" response.
Who knew it...video gamers could be less violent (ignorning the retards that post at gamefaqs) thanks to violent video games. Irony!

Violent Video Games
More Fox goodness!
They reported on an attempted violent video game ban in California or something like that.
My take-
I. Violent video games aren't going to make killers
II. They'll attract killers and violent people, but may act as a deterrent
III. Parents are putting the blame on video games trying to excuse either their horrid parenting skills or the fact that their child is insane.
The third point brins us back to our Puritanical American Values. "Gah! No way little Eeyore was depressed. No way! That would mean our genes aren't perfect!!!!" And, of course, we learn the "I can't do any wrong!" mindset from our government and false sense of patriotism.

Halo News Channel!
I just saw a report on Fox News about Churches having Halo parties to bring the youngin's around. The little headline thing was-Ten Commandments, Are video games an exception? There's no murder (as far as I can remember) in Halo. The main game involves a war with space aliens, and it's kill or be killed in multiplayer.
Apparently the fine folks at Fox think killing space aliens in a war in a video game is murder, yet it's noble for us to kill real people in a real war. They really should make up their minds.
Of course, it isn't Fox unless they do something silly (yes, there's something weirder than the above). They were talking about the game, and played a clip from Soul Caliber.
